Why do adults feel that it is necessary and ok to make fun of someone's name? I had enough of that in school and I know what it felt like. i would have thought this type of behavior would be left in the playground but evidently I was wrong. It is sad.

sweetc, this is the Sootoday comment board.
You need to lower your standards or be sorely disappointed.
Your call.

Norm 3/1/2014 12:10:08 PM Report

Sweet, Wada you trying to say?
Anyway a lot worse has been blogged on here. I doubt Wada is on here looking to see if anyone is poking fun at his name. Wada has a lot bigger fish to fry, perhaps starting with alcohol.
sweetc 3/1/2014 12:13:37 PM Report

yes a lot worse has been blogged here, doesn't make it right. How can we expect our young people to quit the name calling and the bullying when the adults can't do it and take great pleasure at the expense of someone else? Perhaps when the adults quit with the infantile behavior, there will be peace.
dutch touch 3/1/2014 12:58:01 PM Report

Hey Sweetc LIGHTEN UP. People need to laugh sometimes. Before you say "at someone elses expense" , he made fun of a name. What are we, in freaken public school again? It was a joke plain and simple. Get a a life!!!
dutch touch 3/1/2014 1:00:26 PM Report

Also sweetc , were you being MEAN to Soo Today by saying you are always dissapointed time and time. That's not nice you know......waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I'm In 3/1/2014 1:27:51 PM Report

Wadah fool you are sweetc to be worried about petty things, its starts with governments who promote anti bullying/name calling but do it in Parliament, yes it starts at the top but at the end of the day Wadah broke the law and should be made fun of, so no sympathy from me, good one psjj
I'm In 3/1/2014 1:30:45 PM Report

P.S: It looks like Wadah Ga(d)ain is going to lose in court.
sweetc 3/1/2014 3:56:07 PM Report

The point that I was trying to make, but many seem too infantile to get it is yes the act possibly should be made fun of... he was acting like a drunken fool. But that has got absolutely nothing to do with his name. And I can take a joke and I can give a joke but not at someone else's expense.
Boomer4771 3/1/2014 4:01:19 PM Report

I don't understand WADAH YA MEAN...
fpreman 3/1/2014 4:32:42 PM Report

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA
Northerner61 3/1/2014 4:44:27 PM Report

"drunken fool". Drunks have a disease, referencing them as fools is nothing short of name calling.
sweetc 3/1/2014 4:57:29 PM Report

Better re-read what I said. I did not call him a drunken fool..... I said he was acting like one. 2 different meanings. and yes I am well aware that alcoholism is a disease.. an addiction..
Resident 3/1/2014 8:23:38 PM Report

I don't know if it always starts at the top. However, I think seeing it at the top makes it seem "normal" to some others (including those not at the top and those younger) to focus on physical features, names etc.

IMO the emphasis should be the issue, he deserves the consequenses (thrown out of the bar and charged) and to be told by people that his actions will not be tolerated.
sweetc 3/1/2014 8:29:33 PM Report

Totally agree, his actions should not be tolerated. It has absolutely nothing to do with his name.
