Saturday Art Making: Learn art techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media taught by local artists and art educators. Hosted at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 50 East Street, from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 6 to 12 years. Session runs from January 25 to March 8. Call 705-949-0967 for details.

Saturday Art Club: Parents and children will work together to discover art in the studio and in the exhibition galleries. While exploring lots of art mediums, this class will provide opportunities for creative play and fun learning. Hosted at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 50 East Street, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for ages 3 to 5 years. Session runs from January 25 to March 8. Call 705-949-0967 for details.

Seedy Saturday happens in Essar Hall at Sault College from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event brings together gardeners, farmers, seed savers, and citizens passionate about gardening, food security and the environment.

The 9th annual Gathering at the Rapids Pow Wow happens in the George Leach Centre at Algoma University. Grand Entries take place at 1 and 7 p.m. The traditional feast begins at 5 p.m. Host drum is Crazy Spirit from Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

Cross Road plays the Elks Hall, 216 Bay St., from 2 to 6 p.m.

SAFA presents Slopefest at Searchmont Resort. The day includes live entertainment from Northwest and guests playing an outdoor stage at the base of the mountain. Competition begins at 1 p.m.

Soo Greyhounds vs Kitchener at the Essar centre. Game time is 7:07 p.m.

Korah Collegiate presents You're A Good Man Charlie Brown at Korah, 636 Goulais Ave. Show time is 7:30 p.m.

The Algoma Conservatory of Music presents Seiler Piano Trio at St. Jerome Church at 7:30 p.m.

Art in the City: Heels Only is an Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie fundraiser at 180 Projects Gallery, 180 Gore St. For ticket information, call Lisa Vezeau-Allen at 705-257-9424.

Guy Smith performs at the Moose Lodge, 543 Trunk Rd., from 8 to 11 p.m.

Griphook performs at the Roosevelt Hotel, 306 Korah Rd., from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Danger Cats play Docks River Front Grill, 89 Foster Dr., starting at 10 p.m.

Changing Lanes performs at Loplops, 651 Queen St. East. Show time is 10 p.m.

Lucky 13 returns to the Rockstar Bar, 864 Queen St. East, to perform from 10:30 p.m. until close.
