ENVIRONMENT CANADA

***************************
Snow squall warning for Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay - Agawa - Lake Superior Park - Wawa - Pukaskwa Park

Local 15 cm in snowsqualls today.

West winds off Lake Superior are producing snowsqualls to the east of Lake Superior.

Local amounts of 15 cm to 20 cm are possible by this evening.

Dangerous winter driving conditions are expected. Visibility may be reduced to near zero at times in the snowsqualls.

Travellers are urged to adjust or postpone their plans accordingly.

If travel is necessary, check highway conditions and possible highway closures before departing.

Blowing snow warning for White River - Dubreuilville  - Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls - Manitoulin Island - Espanola - Killarney - Blind River - Thessalon - Kapuskasing - Hearst - Smooth Rock Falls - Greater Sudbury and vicinity - Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake - Chapleau - Missinaibi Lake

An intense low pressure system now centred just west of James Bay will move slowly northward today.

Strong gusty winds behind the low will give considerable blowing snow to Northern Ontario today.

Poor travel conditions can be expected due to poor visibilities, snow covered roads, and blowing and drifting snow.

Conditions will gradually improve through the day.

Travellers are urged to adjust or postpone their plans accordingly.

If travel is necessary, check highway conditions and possible highway closures before departing.
