Seen on Goulais Avenue

Tuesday, February 18, 2014   by: SooToday.com Staff

A loyal Sootoday.com reader sent in pictures of a water-main break that was seen Sunday on Goulais Avenue.

A water-main broke on Goulais Avenue near Korah Collegiate late Sunday afternoon.

The water made it's way to a low spot on Rushmere Drive.

Yup, and then this clown will wonder what is wrong with his vehicle when it freezes up solid!

Hmmm, that water appears to me that it just might have a brownish 'hue to it.
Bad Dawg 2/18/2014 11:03:51 AM Report

does not look a ford (Nissan/Toyota) and the one going fast looks like it could be a her.
mudrunner 2/18/2014 11:07:57 AM Report

mudrunner 2/18/2014 11:10:38 AM Report

Bad Dawg what is it if not a ford in the bottom pic?
Bad Dawg 2/18/2014 11:23:40 AM Report

looks a lot more like a 2008 kia sorento than a ford escape

Why should we not drive out trucks / suv's through water ? A car would not be wise, but a truck or SUV is fine to drive through water. And it helps wash the under carriage . I would not be going as fast as that SUV though Might hit a pot hole and do damage.

sargy 2/18/2014 1:31:55 PM Report

It's not a Ford and it's not a girl driving. You're just assuming because the speedsters in the Soo are mostly young girls.

Maybe it is connected to the McMeeken Centre and will show on their "Smart Meter?" Lol well you know what I mean.

I live in the area, PUC/City Works had signs up "Road Closed" but I guess drivers don't follow the road signs or can't read or even maybe think street/road signs are art, just like road markings when they get new paint.
Hogan Rules 2/18/2014 5:21:26 PM Report

Most Drivers in this town don't know how to use their signal light either!
So asking them to read is probably too much to ask!lol
