Not blaming the transport driver , but another transport in the mix up.

"not blaming the transport driver, but another transport in the mix up" what kinda statement is that??? I guess I could say " not blaming the driver of the car....but another car in the mix up"!!! We don't know what happen here yet, but the lives of 2 young people are lost. The male, a friend of my daughters. My thoughts are with the families of these two young people.

The problem has something to do with cars and 50 ton trucks sharing a roadway a few feet apart. Throw in some crappy weather and cross your fingers.

I can't beleive comments on this site man! If people from other countries or even cities in this country read a weeks worth of comments --they would figure we are the most hateful community ever! There is never any care or compassion --just 80% hate!

Condolences!
Beej 2/15/2014 3:33:07 PM Report

What a horrible couple of days, heartfelt condolences to all involved.

The problem is the two-lane, in some cases, sub-standard highway that we put up with between the Soo, Sudbury, North Bay and just west of Ottawa. We need to somehow become extremely vocal about tax dollars creating the jungle of highways in southern Ontario and none of it coming north...

The pictures from the scene show a car approaching town crossing a double solid yellow line into the path of a transport and with the "another transport" comment maybe all the grocery stores and any other stores you buy your crap from can have a rail line to them that would cost too much and the impatient idiots who are always in a hurry would wake up earlier and plan their day better driving is so simple keep eyes on road leave plenty of room and be sober in this case eyes weren't on the road the 3 other passengers know what really happend and probably won't make the same mistake

Tag 33, you are absolutely right about the sickening comments made on this site. When I was living in the Sault I could not believe what I read at times. Not only hatred, and simple minded comments but there were some many comments toward jealously. If a person succeeded or won something people actually critized them.
I've traveled many miles, visited alot of countries and cities and I found the Sault to be one of the most unaccommodating areas I've been in. Not only the Sault but in general Northern Ontario. It's the entitlement mentality.
There are a lot of real good folks in the Sault and in the North but this kind of crap that is in the comments overshadows those good people.
KDawg 2/15/2014 6:29:38 PM Report

"Hate" is such an over-used word that it has lost its true meaning.
Tag33&1/3rd 2/15/2014 8:13:08 PM Report

@Jake,
U are right. Also don't forget -- being happy at the misfortunes of others!
Also,
Take a look at the comments where the young guy and girl attempted to break in a garage. (armchair vigilantes)
A Lot of people down the City Police but would be the first ones "crapping their pants" dialing 911

As per this article--no matter who's fault this "accident" was; everyone's lives are effected for ever now and some are lost!
zzeke 2/15/2014 9:52:02 PM Report

Sounds like you got it all figured out kingpin . Were you in the vehicle too??. How do you know there wasn`t a mechanical issue or perhaps a quick sneezing or coughing fit. A split second can make all the difference . Especially coming out of a corner .
Condolences to the families.
kingpin88 2/16/2014 12:12:17 AM Report

Zzekey really? Looks like you're the one that has it figured out the mechanical issue very unlikely and the other 2 pretty dumb I'm sure you have a book full of excuses
!KENNEDY! 2/16/2014 2:29:11 AM Report

you guys are horrible. neither one of you knows anything of what happened. 2 young people died and all you two can think about is your big egos of whos right or wrong. i feel horrible for the families of these 2 that have to read, or hear about you guys posting this kid of crap. my deepest condolences to the family and my apologies for certain peoples childish behaviour. My Opinion
!KENNEDY! 2/16/2014 2:37:15 AM Report

my deepest condolences to the families ***
zzeke 2/16/2014 10:03:56 AM Report

Kennedy ....apparently you missed the point. Here it is in black and white . Things happen which are beyond peoples control .No one has the right to judge a person unless they seen it themselves .It`s that simple. No where in my post did you see where I said anything like "in this case eyes weren't on the road" as posted by kingpin. I merely pointed out different scenarios that can happen without laying blame on the driver
As for your ego comment you`re pretty self righteous and judgemental too.
Have a Nice Day
zzeke 2/16/2014 10:08:19 AM Report

I better clarify "sneezing or coughing fit". Not everyone can control them and they can come on with out warning.
summer95 2/18/2014 4:54:49 PM Report

It's the comments on this story that make me so upset. Two young lives were lost and everyone is arguing about what caused the accident. Out of 16 comments......5 had condolences sent to the families involved. Will Duma was a friend that I went to high school with and graduated with. Over the four years I got to know that Will was such a great guy with a heart of gold. He had a great sense of humor, was an awesome goalie for the hockey team, and was well liked by all of his teachers, teammates and fellow students, he will surely be missed by many. As for Meghna, I did not know her but I'm sure she was a great person and will also be missed by many. My deepest condolences go to both families and all of their friends. <3
