Wonder what happens to a Canadian who has no licence and has an accident in the US ? Do they jail them and keep them there? Naw, I guess not, that would be too much to hope for......:)
ash234 1/28/2014 8:46:04 AM Report

why would you hope for that?

Guy has a car but has no fixed address. Cmon now . Why do we have to wait for criminals to reoffend . If they miss a court date or if they miss curfew pick them up and arrest them. Do we need dog the bounty hunter in the soo.

How did he get over to the States with no drivers licences?
I have no record and the US customs questioning can get to the point of paranoia.
Sometimes they deep scan my divers licences and I.D.

jojoe71 1/28/2014 9:33:43 AM Report

how do you get a passport with no fixed address?
Beej 1/28/2014 9:38:03 AM Report

No one said he got into the states, he was likely turned back.
Sam C 1/28/2014 10:15:54 AM Report

Lots of assumptions, today.

He could have got a passport when he still had a "fixed address." And, just because you don't have a fixed address doesn't mean you can't own a vehicle.

It doesn't say he didn't have a drivers license, only that he was under Court conditions to not be in the driver's seat.

sinikka... how would the Police know where to pick him up if he violates his recognizance conditions if they don't know where he is.

This is a case of the system working. He was stopped at Customs, his recognizance conditions were noted and he was arrested.

The reason for the comment is that this person obviously had conditions from a previous bail court and broke them, which will more than likely result in another slap on the wrist. Our justice system is a mockery!
lucky10 1/28/2014 1:49:15 PM Report

How do you get car insurance while being disqualified from driving or plates and validation sticker for that matter . Hummm wonder why young people pay thru the but for insurance . Fine examples like this fella .
crashed13 1/28/2014 6:05:28 PM Report

When the courts say not to drive ,they do take your driver's license.
