WOW !!!! 1200 bucks.. for an Acer?? I paid less than 250 for mine.. Somebody got, or is getting, hosed....:)

The highest-spec version of the Aspire E-series I could find was priced at 899. $1200 is pushing the limit of believability. Maybe if they counted after taxes and the silly aftermarket warranty and extra software...

Not that it matters but I had a brother-in-law with a cottage on an island in the St Lawrence. He got broke into one winter and they stole his 32in snowblower, 4000 watt generator, over 2000 worth of tools, a 50 horse boat motor, and 500 bucks worth of booze. That robbery was a terrible blow but you know, I was at his cottage several times and I never noticed any of that stuff until he mentioned it in the police report.. They never found any of it either... Weird or what???...;)(tongue firmly in cheek here, folks)

A $1200 Acer laptop..... right......

Insurance fraud much?
Considering that if you go to Acer.ca right now, and look at their Aspire E series notebooks, the most expensive model available Aspire E1-572P-6427, is only $599 ---- something smells extremely fishy here.

Can always depend on the "Price Patrol " to set things straight!

Sides cost of laptops have come down drastically in last few years ,and not to worry the Insurance companies only give you a percentage of the value plus they are better at Price Patrol than you lot are .

I hope someone see's the comments about the cottage break in and they bust his ass.

His sort put our premiums up.

Willoweep and Boilertyme; most of my family is long dead, especially the one mentioned. it was just a funny episode in life, not unlike the crooks that still try to scam insurance companies every day of the week. He didn't get away with it, by the way..LOL.
willoweep 1/16/2014 11:14:17 PM Report

Just curious ,sorry if I don't think it was a funny thing theft is theft ,and yes I know People still do it, or at least try to do it all the time and us honest smucks pay for it .

That fella sure had some nice stuff for way back then?
