testdummy 1/13/2014 12:04:17 PM Report

That works out to $40.11 a gram for pot, Wow good stuff!
willoweep 1/13/2014 1:03:19 PM Report

testdummy does it really matter what it's estimated at? Cops have scales too and a chart of prices to go by .

I don't know why People jump all over the estimated value all the time. Is it so they can show how cool they are knowing the going street prices for Drugs?.

I wish they would make weed legal like a lot of the States are doing .

Police resources and Courts would be freed up for better purposes .

We wouldn't have to provide lodging for any of these small time punks ,and the taxes could be designated for some much needed use.

Hey how about lowering the Taxes be it income tax (for working People YAY) or at the Till?

A couple of cents on every Dollar spent would ad up to a lot of Money put back in consumers pockets .

Might encourage Cross Border shopping a little as well .

Oh yeah back on topic . Damn Cops don't know squat about the price of weed Man.
D0BBER 1/13/2014 4:20:17 PM Report

Yeah lets legalize driving under the influence and domestic abuse next .. If the wife and kids cant learn to take a punch they had better learn to duck !! We can free up police forces and the legal system for real crimes !!

[disclaimer] the previous statement was intended to show how the idiocy of legalizing pot so that the jails will be less full [/disclaimer]

thera 1/13/2014 5:17:45 PM Report

@ D0BBER:
Why do you assume that if pot was legal, it would be legal to be high and drive? Alcohol is legal, is it legal to drink and drive? No.
Did you even do some actual research into the law in Colorado? It is illegal to be high and drive. Next time use that thing that sits on your head before you feel the need to comment on anything.
thera 1/13/2014 5:20:02 PM Report

Oh and using the slippery slope argument shows how you have no actual legitimate argument against legalization of weed.

D0BBER 1/14/2014 7:53:48 AM Report

Its there in plain english right in front of you AND YOU STILL MISS IT !!

Making drunk driving legal would keep people out of the legal system ... making murder legal would also keep people out of the legal system. The concept of legalizing pot to effect the #'s in jail and legal costs of convicting them is idiocy in its purist form.

Marijuana is a mood altering drug ... it needs to remain illegal not regulated !!
D0BBER 1/14/2014 9:02:07 AM Report

BTW .. how could you confuse that with a slippery slope argument ??

There was even a comedic disclaimer describing the purpose of the post !!
Bad Dawg 1/14/2014 10:41:52 AM Report

so booze is not a mood altering drug?? what about all the prescription abusers, they still drive??

waiting for the "pot is gateway drug" crew to show up....

Cannibis will never be legalized, more likely to get decriminalized to enjoy in the privacy of your own home not in public. You will not be able to buy it at any corner store or walk around smoking joints. Most people who say LEGALIZE are just dumb kids thinking it is cool to be stoned, not educating themselves on laws or medical uses.

@ D0BBER:

You need to reread your post then:

"Yeah lets legalize driving under the influence and domestic abuse next .. If the wife and kids cant learn to take a punch they had better learn to duck !!"

Wake up

I don't use but have seen it in use.

Never seen anyone get mad or ugly or beat their old lady up...on 4:20 drug

Alcohol is way worse of an altering mood drug for the negative..

Most just relax and want some munchies...hahaha
D0BBER 1/14/2014 2:18:55 PM Report

@Bad Dawg
"so booze is not a mood altering drug?? what about all the prescription abusers, they still drive??"

You cant justify the legalization of one mood altering drug based on the fact that people get away with abusing other substances !!

"waiting for the "pot is gateway drug" crew to show up...."

That is an undeniable fact ... glad you brought it up !!

"Cannibis will never be legalized, more likely to get decriminalized to enjoy in the privacy of your own home not in public"

Now youre resorting to semantics !!

@Thera

"You need to reread your post then"

Im very familiar with my post, perhaps you should re read it .. concentrate on the reading and comprehension aspect !!

@ Derek

I wont bother to debate the effects of addiction and how it makes you more prone to violent acts to support your habit, you obviously are choosing to remain ignorant. I guess the mass violence of drug cartels at the growing and distribution end of things dont count either.

Your "kids just smoke pot and eat chips" argument holds about as much weight as someone stating that the cases of people surviving skydiving where the parachute didnt open is justification to never wear a parachute. Just because there are cases where things didnt go bad is no reason to believe that all cases will be that way !!
thera 1/14/2014 2:42:29 PM Report

@ D0BBER:

"Im very familiar with my post, perhaps you should re read it .. concentrate on the reading and comprehension aspect !!"

If you are so up to your reading comprehension, why didn't you address my point of going down a meaningless tangent of pot legalization = domestic abuse for some reason?

You speak of growing cartels which is interesting because legalization would reduce cartels. Want proof? Tell me, how much of a nuisance are bootleggers for police? My guess would be right around zero because prohibition is over since it DID NOT work. The mob was making huge profits getting alcohol to people who wanted it, that's gone because there isn't any profit to be made. It would be the exact same thing with pot.
D0BBER 1/14/2014 4:55:29 PM Report

Here ill break my post down for you ..

"Yeah lets legalize driving under the influence and domestic abuse next .. If the wife and kids cant learn to take a punch they had better learn to duck !! We can free up police forces and the legal system for real crimes !!"

The above quote was the first part where I draw extreme parallels to point out the flaw in the thinking.

"[disclaimer] the previous statement was intended to show how the idiocy of legalizing pot so that the jails will be less full [/disclaimer]"

The next portion was a further clarification of the intent of the post ... and to offset the worst of the "you damn woman beater" posts

No mention of a slippery slope anywhere !!

The pointing out of the violence that comes with drugs is to show that it isnt just smoking a joint and eating a twinkie ... there is organized crime behind it and thats not going to stop just because the government decides to regulate it !!
thera 1/15/2014 7:08:01 AM Report

@ D0BBER
I guess there isn't anything more to say except, you sir, are an idiot.
