Special weather statement for Chapleau - Missinaibi Lake - Gogama - Foleyet - Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls - New Liskeard - Temagami - Kirkland Lake - Englehart has ended

Wind chill warning continued for Manitouwadge - Hornepayne - Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls

Cold wind chills of minus 40 to minus 45 today or tonight.

A ridge of high pressure is building across Northern Ontario and bringing very cold temperatures combined with moderate northerly winds.

Extreme wind chill values ranging from minus 40 to minus 45 are currently occurring north of Lake Superior and expected to move into portions of Northeastern Ontario this evening.

People outdoors should exercise extreme caution as exposed skin may freeze in less than 10 minutes.

The wind chill warning has been ended for portions of Northwestern Ontario as winds have become light.

how about warning the soo area when it gets real cold, what do people in the soo care if it get real cold points north and no where near the soo. If u have love ones in other area's look at there weather but as for me i want soo weather not weather from other cities

I travelled the north highway today. It was very cold up there. People need to heed these wind chill warnings. Should have extra clothes and boots with you. Doesn't take long to get frostbite in these conditions.

Please bring all animals in or make sure they are protected... Its not fair to them to keep them outside when its this cold...remember.. if your cold.. so are they...
