NEWS RELEASE

CITY OF SAULT STE. MARIE

*************************
Judging for the 2013 Christmas Lighting Awards Program will take place this evening, December 20; starting at 6:30 p.m.

A list of nominated properties can be viewed on the City of Sault Ste. Marie website at www.cityssm.on.ca – City Hall Bulletins.

There are two award categories – residential and business.

In the Residential Category, two winners per ward will be selected. In the Business Category, three awards are presented citywide (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place).

This program, co-sponsored by PUC Services Inc., was created to acknowledge community pride and recognize the great effort many people put into holiday decorating.

“PUC Services, through its support of the Christmas Lighting Awards program, recognizes the efforts of residents and businesses in the use of lights and decorations to bring brightness to our community at this festive time of year,” says Dominic Parrella, President and CEO, PUC Services Inc.

Award plaques will be presented to the winners at a City Council meeting in January 2014.
