Greyhounds announce deal with Colts

The Soo Greyhounds announced this afternoon they have dealt defenceman Mac Clutsam to the Barrie Colts.

Clutsam, 18, played in 63 games in two seasons with the Greyhounds, scoring one goal and three assists.

The Flamborough, Ont. native was selected by the Greyhounds in the seventh round of the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.

In return, the Greyhounds receive a seventh round pick (2016) from the Colts.

The Greyhounds roster is now down to six active defencemen.

Meanwhile, the move is the second for the Colts in a four-day span involving a defenceman.

Thursday saw the Colts deal defenceman Alex Yuill to the Belleville Bulls in exchange for forward Garrett Hooey.

Obviously another move is coming for a defenseman. Maybe a big forward too.
