The Sault Indigenous Writers’ Collective and, Urban Aboriginal Communities Thrive (U-ACT) presents Happy Poli-days: An evening of politically inspired and politically motivated poetry readings and spoken word performance.

This event will take place at Dish Espresso Bar and Café on Wednesday, December 18, 2013.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the reading and performance will start a 7 p.m.

This is a structured open mic night, slots will be allotted first come, first serve.

Happy Poli-days will feature Theodore Syrette as your gracious and thought-provoking master of ceremonies.

The Sault Indigenous Writers' Collective is a group of professional, published, unpublished and emerging Indigenous authors and their allies.  

The Sault Indigenous Writers' Collective meets once per month.

The Sault Community Career Centre is a vital community partner, hosting the monthly meetings of the Sault Indigenous Writers’ Collective.

We are open to both new members, and community partners.

The Sault Indigenous Writers’ Collective is supported by Sault Ste. Marie Urban Aboriginal Communities Thrive (U-ACT) Research Project, the Sault Ste. Marie Indian Friendship Centre, the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Ontario Federation of Indian Friendship Centres.
