ENVIRONMENT CANADA

****************************
Snow squall warning continued for Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay

Snow squall warning ended for Agawa - Lake Superior Park

Snow squalls continue tonight.

The strong winds off of Lake Superior have shifted to the northwest which means the heaviest snow squalls are now affecting areas between Montréal to Searchmont.

An additional 5 to 10 centimetres of snow is likely under the heaviest snow bands before ending tonight.

Low to nil visibilities in snow and blowing snow can still be expected and will result in hazardous driving conditions.

This has been a multi-day event.

Total local snowfall amounts of 60 cm or greater are possible by tonight in the heaviest hit areas.

Snow squall watch continued for Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island

Snow squalls likely tonight.

Cold northwesterly winds over Lake Superior are generating heavy flurries and local snow squalls.

The strongest snow squalls are currently near Montreal River to Searchmont.

The snow squalls are forecast to shift southward over Sault Ste Marie this evening.

Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm will be possible, along with very poor visibilities in snow and blowing snow.

First people complain there is no snow, now they complain there is too much? Looks like mother nature is playing catchup on the past couple years that have barely snowed enough and I love it.

I love it.
