Power interruption in progress

This is a description of an unplanned power interruption that is currently affecting PUC Distribution customers in Sault Ste. Marie.

If you have any information leading to the cause of the outage or other concerns please call the PUC emergency number at 759-6555.

Interruption date: December 11, 2013 at 12:07 p.m.
Customers affected: 683

Number of customers restored:
660 restored at: 12:50 p.m.
22 restored at: 1:40 p.m.

Customers remaining off: 1

Cause of interruption: Motor vehicle accident - Vehicle contact with pole.

Description of area involved

Third line East from Great Northern Rd to Peoples Rd., Industrial Courts "A" and "B", north end of North St. and Mary St. Subdivision, Old Goulais Bay Rd and Greenfield Subdivision

He's not a commercial driver. He is what is referred to in the business as a "professional scavenger" -- a polite way of calling him a thief -- stealing things that don't belong to him, so he can collect scrap value on it.


He's a real gem.
