There are options, cabs, DD, bus and I heard that new Driverseat thing is pretty cool. Had some friends try it out this past weekend. $25-$30 to get you and your car home...much cheaper than court and legal fees and insurance costs!

the only way people learn is by tougher consequences. should be automatic no licence for 1 yr. no court(breathalyzer is the judge) They got caught and being stupid is no defence for DD. Then if they drive without a licence then they sit in their house with an ankle braclet, and if they can't do that its time for JAIL.

Guaranteed the criminal that did the hit & run on Nov.9th at Wallace and Farwell Terrace was probably impaired. The cops have seen this BURNT ORANGE FORD RANGER many times before because of the unique(not factory color) truck, and hoped they would find them. But this coward has evaded them. The damage was close to 7 thousand, luckily no one was injured! It really hurts working two jobs, just above minimal wage and having to pay the $ 5 hundred deductible. Just not fair! What's wrong with people?

Driverseat .. just heard about it last weekend and knew a couple that actually used it, all good things to say about it , they said it was perfect ..the drivers were great and got them home safe AND their car too. Said it only cost 33.00 bucks which included their tip. They heard about it on Sootoday news and thought they would try it, said they were absolutely sold on it and will always use it now. One other couple I know, didn't know about it and spent 40.00 bucks one way for a cab ride ..but had to go back the next day to get their car and then found out it had a ticket on it (no over night parking) cost them over a 100 bucks for the cabs and ticket, they now know about it, they wished they heard about it earlier. Sounds great .. kind of a win-win system to me ... !I can bet you the guy in this news item that was charged would gladly pay anything "now" to get home..!! When will people get it.. Geeez?
leeant 12/11/2013 11:40:40 AM Report

ok not her first time ... jail maybe?
leeant 12/11/2013 11:41:48 AM Report

why don't people just get that it's illegal?
dicks 12/11/2013 12:16:59 PM Report

it is only illegal if you get caught
TFinn 12/11/2013 12:33:12 PM Report

dicks 12/11/2013 12:16:59 PM

No ...It's the law ...whether you get caught or not, it's illegal to drive under the influence..!Getting caught is the punishment, and driving and not getting caught is just morally wrong..!!

crashed13 12/13/2013 1:56:32 PM Report

Pot is illegal also, that sure does wonders.
