9:41 p.m. Update

Sergey Tolchinsky is the hero for the Greyhounds scoring on a rebound to the right of the Saginaw goal after Andrew Fritsch's shot from the slot if stopped by Jake Paterson. 5-4 Greyhounds final. Final Shots: 42-36 Greyhounds Greyhounds

9:33 p.m. Update

Overtime on deck at the Dow Event Center. Tied at four...shots through three periods: 39-32 Sault Ste. Marie

9:30 p.m. Update

After Matt Murray stops Jimmy Lodge alone in close at one end of thje ice, Patrick Watling gets around the Saginaw defencemen at the other end and slide the puck past Jake Paterson with 1:37 left...4-4 tie

9:13 p.m. Update

Justin Kea takes a feed in the right faceoff circle and his backhand beats Matt Murray stick side, catches the inside of the post and goes in to give Saginaw the lead...4-3 Saginaw

9:06 p.m. Update

Jimmy Lodge of Saginaw steps into the left faceoff circle and his shot through Sault defenceman Kyle Jenkins handcuffs Matt Murray

8:42 p.m. Update

40 minutes in the books at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw and the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds lead the Saginaw Spirit 3-2. Shots are 28-22 Sault Ste. Marie

8:31 p.m. Update

Matt Murray comes up with a save on Jimmy Lodge oin a breakaway for the Spirit

8:26 p.m. Update

Alex Gudbranson beats Jake Paterson with a shot from the right faceoff circle...3-2 Sault Ste. Marie

8:25 p.m. Update

Second period has reached its midway point with the game still tied at two. Tyler Gaudet with the best chance in the period thus far but was turned aside by Jake Paterson

7:55 p.m. Update

One period in the books at the Dow Event Center as the Saginaw Spirit and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds are tied at two.

Shots in the opening period were 15-14 Saginaw.

A change has also been made on the Greyhounds opening goal. The assists, originally credited to Mcihael Bunting and David Miller, now go to Kevin Spinozzi and Michael Bunting. Spinozzi was the Greyhounds who took the initial shot that was defleated by Sergey Tolchinsky

7:45 p.m. Update

David Miller gets his second goal in as many nights after his shot from a crowd in tight beats Jake Paterson. The play comes after Sergey Tolchinsky's centering pass hits a Saginaw stick and deflects to Miller.

Just 26 seconds later, Luke Cairns steals a puck from Tyler Ganly and his backhand beats Murray high glove side...2-2

7:40 p.m. Update

Michael Bunting's shot from the left wing is deflected by Sergey Tolchinsky in close past Jake Paterson...1-1

7:32 p.m. Update

Power play is over with the Greyhounds directing just one shot at Jake Peterson

7:30 p.m. Update

Greyhounds get the first power play of the night as Michael Holmes is off for hooking Patrick Watling while gooing to the night

7:27 p.m. Update

Saginaw opens the scoring as Terry Trafford's shot from the left faceoff circle finds it's way through Coltion White and Dylan Sadowy battling at the top of the crease. The shot beats Matt Murray high glove...1-0 Saginaw

7:22 p.m. Update

Quick start for the Greyhounds with a pair of chances in the opening minute, including Alex Gudbranson's point shot hitting the post stick side on Jake Paterson


Scratches are set for tonight. Not int he lineup for the Greyhounds is Keigan Goetz, Nick Pastorious and Mac Clutsam. Out for Saginaw tonight are Ryan Orban, Daniel DeSousa, Kris Bennett, Terry Trafford and Brandon Lindberg.
