I have never really understood why people call in fake bomb threats. Does anyone know why people do? It just seems pointless lol

You've to ask yourself what the have you been doing in the last 41 years.

It's not the severity, but the certainty of a sentence what will act as a deterrent for this people.

One reason I can think of: If you were scheduled for court, call in a bomb threat, the place has to be evacuated so they can check, no court for you today! (or your son, or your daughter)
?
Just thinkin out loud.

Did you ever think of using a payphone??
Oh and I should add, that you should at least wear some gloves if you even make that attempt!

Like the Wal-Mart insentient I think they do it to see if they evacuate the entire building and have every emergency service busy on it for hours.

They love watching a overreaction like when they locked up the 650,000 people of Boston in their homes over a punk hiding in a boat in a back yard.
