High School Hockey Roundup

The high school hockey season saw five games last week with St. Mary’s remaining as the top team in the standings with a pair of wins.

St. Mary’s opened the week with a 10-1 win over Superior Heights.

Jason Uhl and Erik Paradis had two goals and an assist each in the win while Jaron Rowe added a goal and two assists. Matthew White also chipped in with three assists.

Cody Poirier had a goal and an assist for the Knights while Jarret Miller had two helpers.

Jake Lewis also scored in the win.

Kyle Vanderburg scored for Superior Heights.

Also on Monday night, Korah narrowly beat St. Basil by a 4-3 score.

Aaron Savage and Jay Johnson had a goal and two assists each for Korah in the win while Jack McLeod assisted on a pair of goals.

Jayden Reid and Matt Diberardino also scored for Korah.

Josh Fisher, Jonathan Colombi and Dylan Beauregard scored for St. Basil while Mario Taranto and Connor Antonello had two assists each in the loss.

Wednesday saw three games as St. Mary’s improved to 7-0-0 with a 5-0 win over Korah.

Michael Pelland picked up the shutout while Rowe had two goals and two assists.

Alex Morin set up three goals for St. Mary’s while Paradis scored a pair. Jesse Dellavalle also scored in the win.

Uhl set up a pair of goals as well for St. Mary’s.

In earlier action on Wednesday, Superior Heights picked up a 2-1 win over White Pines thanks to goals by Coty Anderson and Quinn Barban.

Jamie Kamzol had the lone goal for White Pines.

Wednesday’s other game saw CASS double up St. Basil 6-3. Eric Kern had two goals and an assist in the win while Matthew Keenan added a pair of goals.

Bryce Campbell had a goal and tow assists while Zack Junor had the other CASS goal.

Blake Antonello had a goal and an assist for St. Basil while Chris Kramer and Taylor Lamorie rounded out the St. Basil scoring.
