We're live from the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie with updates throughout the night as the game progresses. For a full game preview, click here. The Greyhounds are coming off a pair of games last week on home ice against Saginaw and Sarnia. The homestand wrapped up this week with games against Sudbury and Friday night's game against Ottawa leading into tonight's finale.

10:00 p.m. Update

Greyhounds coach Sheldon Keefe credited the line of Tyler Gaudet, Patrick Watling and Jean Dupuy for the job they did five-on-five against Niagara's top line with Carter Verhaeghe and Brendan Perlini.

As a young team, Niagara coach Marty Williamson was upbeat about the loss and the young players battling and showing "a lot of grit"

9:18 p.m. Update

Niagara pulls Brent Moran for the extra attacker with a minute left but can't get the two goals to tie the game and it's a 5-3 Greyhounds win.

9:14 p.m. Update

Greyhounds to the power play with 2:29 remaining as Vince Dunn hit with a delay of game penalty

9:10 p.m. Update

Jared McCann gives the Greyhounds a 5-3 lead after converting a feed from Sergey Tolchinsky. McCann one-timed the feed from the slot stick side on Brent Moran

9:02 p.m. Update

9:40 left in the third period and the Greyhounds conrtinue to lead 4-3...Shots are 31-26 Greyhounds

8:52 p.m. Update

Looks like Cody Caron's night is over. The rookie forward went to the Niagara room with help and in a lot of pain after an awkward fall in the corner. Appeared to be a knee injury

8:30 p.m. Update

40 minutes in the books at the Essar Centre and the Greyhounds lead 4-3....shots are 26-21 Greyhounds

8:25 p.m. Update

With Jared McCann in the penalty box, Aaron Haydon's point shot deflects off Aleksander Mikulovich and beats Brandon Halverson through heavy traffic in front of the Greyhounds goal. Niagara now trails 4-3

8:20 p.m. Update

Blake Speers at the side of the Niagara goal gives the Greyhounds a 4-2 lead after Sergey Tolchinsky goes behind the goal and feeds Speers a backhand pass behind him for the easy tap in stick side...4-2 Greyhounds with under five minutes left in the second period

8:16 p.m. Update

Sergey Tolchinsky gives the Greyhounds a 3-2 lead while the Greyhounds are on the power play with Niagara's Anthony DiFruscia in the penalty box. Tolchinsky scores on a rebound glove side after Darnell Nurse's point shot is stopped by Brent Moran

8:05 p.m. Update

Andrew Fritsch ties the game for the Greyhounds on the power play as his centering feed is stopped by Brent Moran but the overage forward bangs in the loose puck stick side at the side of the goal

7:55 p.m. Update

Receiving word that David Miller's high sticking penalty has been changed to a major for cross checking. Only results in a change in rule number. Miller remains done for the night

7:40 p.m. Update

One period in the books at the Essar Centre as the IceDogs lead the Greyhounds 2-1 despite the Greyhounds holding a 14-12 edge in shots

7:30 p.m. Update

Aaron Haydon, who took the high stick from Miller, is back on the ice after going to the dressing room for a short period

7:29 p.m. Update

Niagara takes a 2-1 lead as they score for the second time on the Miller major penalty. This time it's Vince Dunn as his shot from the slot beats Halverson glove side

7:25 p.m. Update

David Miller's night comes to an early end after receiving a major penalty for high sticking. The IceDogs scored 18 seconds into the penalty as Eric Ming beats Brandon Halverson from the left faceoff circle and it's tied at one

7:18 p.m. Update

David Miller gets the Greyhounds on the board with a power play marker. His shot from the left circle beats Brent Moran high stick (short) side

7:15 p.m. Update

Alexander Mikulovich off to the penalty box for Niagara and the Greyhounds get the first power play of the night

7:05 p.m. Update

Cody Caron is in the Niagara lineup which leaves Alexander Protapovich as the final IceDogs scratch. Caron is slated to be on a line with Hayden McCool and Graham Knott

Sault scratches: Colton White, Nick Pastorious, Brandon Hughes' Niagara scratches: Luke Mercer, Billy Jenkins. The ginal scratch will be either Alexander Protapovich or Sault native Cody Caron and will be determined after the warmup.
