SAULT STE. MARIE
United Way celebrating mid-campaign rally in superhero fashion
The upcoming event will be held at Dock’s Riverfront Grill on Thursday, October 31, 2013
SAULT STE. MARIE - The United Way Sault Ste. Marie and district is quickly approaching the half-way point in its annual campaign dedicated to raising funds to help assist in building strong communities.
On Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 12-1:30 p.m., the United Way will celebrate the fundraising that has been achieved to-date, as well as the dedicated organizations and volunteers involved in making the annual campaign a success.
The event will be held at Dock’s Riverfront Grill, where attendees are invited to dress up as their favourite superhero!
The Superhero theme seemed a perfect fit for the event, since it acknowledges the organizations and individuals who are “superheroes” to those in need in our community.
The United Way invites the public to join them at the luncheon.
Tickets are $10/person and can be purchased at the United Way office located at 7 Oxford Street, or by phone at: 705-256-7476.
The ticket includes entry to the event and lunch.
For the second year in a row, the United Way Sault Ste. Marie and district has partnered with students from Sault College’s Public Relations and Event Management (PEM) Program to host this annual event.
This opportunity to work alongside the United Way to coordinate a live event gives PEM students a chance to implement classroom learning, and to put their creativity to work in a real-life setting.
