Attending businesses to make for a successful Naturallia 2013
Financial incentives available before October 7
SAULT STE. MARIE - Recent developments are spelling good news for regional companies participating or thinking of participating in Naturallia 2013.
Organizers of the global business-to-business matchmaking event, taking place in Sault Ste. Marie October 28 to 30, are pleased to announce that financial incentives from senior levels of government are now available to Northern Ontario firms to take part in the forum.
“We’re confident that this new incentive will turn a great event into an even better one,” said Naturallia 2013 Co-Chair Tom Dodds, CEO of the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation.
“This is a prime opportunity for local and regional companies to form strategic partnerships with businesses around the world.
With the recent incentive development, the registration deadline has been pushed back so we can spread the word to our area firms.”
The new deadline to register is October 7.

To learn more about the incentives being offered to local and regional firms to attend the forum, through the Innovation Accelerator Program, made possible through FedNor, please contact Christina Coutu, Project Manager for Naturallia 2013, at 705-942-7927 ext. 3028 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Featuring strategically planned business-to-business matchmaking sessions, Naturallia 2013 is bringing together upwards of 150 companies from 14 countries.
This year’s event is focusing on the following sectors:
- Smart energy;
- Advanced manufacturing;
- Value added-forest products; and
- Mining supply and services.
Naturallia 2013 is especially worthwhile for local and regional companies, as Canada and the world will be at their doorstep in Sault Ste. Marie.
Based on past business matchmaking events, the success rate is high.
For instance, at a similar event, Centrallia 2012, which took place in Winnipeg, 97percent of participants said they would recommend the experience to other business leaders, while 96 percent said the forum resulted in new opportunities or leads.
These findings come as no surprise to Naturallia 2013 Co-Chair Jason Naccarato, vice-president of development for the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre.
“Where else can a business owner or executive meet with dozens of fellow decision makers from around the world – all in one location,” he said. “This event is an ideal starting point for companies looking to branch out, establish partnerships, develop new customer and supplier bases, and ultimately grow.”
Initiated by RDEE Ontario Alliances, with the proud support of FedNor - Industry Canada and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, Naturallia 2013 is being hosted by the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation, Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre and the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
