Red and white Day set for Sault CollegeTuesday, October 01, 2013 by: SooToday.com Staff
Students at Sault College are being asked to dress a certain way in support of the first annual United Way Red and White Day on Thursday, October 10.
This awareness/fundraising event will see students wearing those colours in exchange for a donation to the 2013 United Way campaign.
Related activities - open to the public - will also be available from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in Essar Hall.
A photo booth, complimentary treats provided by Sault College's hospitality program, performances by cheerleaders, and information about the United Way and the various community projects the organization supports will be available.
United Way and Sault College's public relations and event management program are organizing the goings-on.
Future plans anticipate city-wide participation next year with the involvement of elementary and secondary schools.
