Nana nana nana nana nana nana nana nana... Batman! (21 photos)Saturday, September 21, 2013 by: Donna Hopper
The 18th annual Bushplane Days at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre kicked off last evening with a special performance by Robin Gallo as Reba McEntire.
Today saw hundreds gather as the festival continued with an exciting visit from the Dark Knight himself, Batman!
Also popular was the Ministry of Natural Resources water bombing demonstration with a Canadair CL-415 Waterbomber over the St. Marys River.
With plenty of activities going on, kids were kept busy with face painters, United Steelworkers inflatables, arts and crafts, the Science North Caravan, and model train rides.
Smokey Bear and Chopper the Bushplane Beaver were also on-hand to meet and greet.
The three-day festival wraps up tomorrow (Sunday) as activities and demonstrations run throughout the day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The day includes a special visit from The Flash, a water bombing demonstration at 12:30 p.m., and an encore performance from Robin Gallo at 2 p.m.
Food and refreshments will be available from M&M Meats and Jack the Ribber.
Admission to the 18th annual Bushplane Days is $5 for adults, $2 for children aged six to 12, and free for kids five and under.
