Cloverland Electric Cooperative reports transmission outage
 
SAULT STE. MARIE, MI - (August 26, 2013 6:30 a.m.) - Cloverland Electric Cooperative reports numerous power outages throughout its service area due to severe weather in the area.
 
As of 6:30 a.m., approximately 6,600 services are without power.
 
Line crews are working to identity the cause of an early morning transmission outage affecting services in Pickford, DeTour Village, Cedarville, Hessel, Goetzville, Stalwart and Drummond Island.
 
Numerous outages are also reported in Newberry, Curtis, Germfask, Trout Lake, Paradise, and McMillan.
 
Cloverland Electric Cooperative reminds everyone to stay away from downed power lines. Assume that any power line remains energized.
