We want to see what you’ve got!

Rotaryfest’s Second Stage seeking music and art submissions

SAULT STE. MARIE - The 9th Annual Tenaris Second Stage, a part of Rotaryfest, The Sault’s Summer Festival! will take place on Friday, July 19 at 5 to 11 p.m., and Saturday, July 20 from 1 p.m. until midnight on Queen Street in Sault Ste. Marie.

The Tenaris Second Stage is a celebration of the community’s original art and music.

We are seeking applications from local musicians and bands who perform their own music as well as original work by artists of all ages.

Applications are to be submitted by May 31, on www.secondstage.ca or can be dropped off at the Rotary Office.

Please submit the following materials along with the participant application form:

Musician/band

Work sample: Professional released CD, CD sampler, MP3, DVD. A minimum of three original songs for which you/or band members own the copyright should be submitted. Make sure that your submissions have good sound quality.

Supporting material: Please have the following in your press packet:

• Biography. Tell us about yourself/band. Introduce band members
• Photo. Professional printout quality or high quality jpg. Minimum 960 pixels wide
• Any press clippings (optional)
• Links: Website, MySpace, Facebook, YouTube video links, fan links

*Preference given to artists who have released/ or will be releasing music professionally (i.e. pressed CD, iTunes, etc.)

Visual artist

Work sample: Ten images - Photographs of art, copies, prints of material

Supporting material: Please have the following in your press packet:

• Biography. Tell us about yourself and relevant activities, shows, and highlights of work
• Photo. Professional printout quality or high quality jpg. Minimum 960 pixels wide
• Any press clippings (optional)
• Links: Website, MySpace, Facebook, YouTube or other relevant links

*For Visual Artists selected to participate, there will be a $30 deposit due by May 31, 2013, returned in full following artist’s attendance at event.

All materials submitted (including CD, DVD, photos, and press kit) will be retained by the Tenaris Second Stage Selection Committee, and will become the property of the festival.

The materials will not be returned to you whether or not you are selected.

Any expenses you incur during the application process – including postage, shipping, materials preparation (videotape, photos, etc.) – are your sole responsibility.

Only one entry per band is allowed.

Application process opens on: Monday, April 30, 2013

Application deadline: Thursday, May 31, 2013
