Before the tasty suds were available in the Sault area, they used to travel to Southern Ontario in order to get their hands on the stuff.

That's product loyalty.

About 600 beer enthusiasts visited the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre Saturday for the second annual event which features a number of Ontario micro breweries, including Sleeping Giant (Thunder Bay), Lake of Bays (Baysville), Millstreet (Toronto), and Railway City (St. Catherines).

Also set up at this year's event is Charger Foods, owned and operated by First Nations chef Charles Catchpole.

His line of unique hot sauces, including Green Tea Thai Chile, Hot Chocolate, and Gishiday are a perfect compliment to the savory sandwiches served by the fine folks from Bossy's Pub and Grub.

If you enjoy hot, we recommend the Gishiday (Ojibway for 'hot').

As Catchpole states on his website: "I chose the Ojibway word for hot because my translator didn't tell me the word for torture."

The Festival of Beer Part II: The Refill continues today at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and will be serving samples of scrumptious suds until 6 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door for $28 which includes five samples of your choosing and a Festival of Beer souvenir glass.
