Two charged for causing injury to an animal

Yesterday, officers with the Patrol Services Section of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested two individuals, 35-year-old Ronni Prpich and 36-year-old Joseph Baxter of Fish Hatchery Road, and charged them both with one count of causing injury to an animal.

It is alleged that the two willfully neglected to provide suitable and adequate care for a dog that they owned.

The dog was found in an emaciated condition at the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society on March 22 of this year.

Both Prpich and Baxter will appear in court on May 27.
