The 76th year of the Sault Ste. Marie Music Festival will begin on Friday, March 23.

Formerly known as the Kiwanis Music Festival, this year’s festival begins with the String Division, adjudicated by Irene Tandberg of London, Ontario.

Students receive encouragement, motivation to excel and excellent guidance on how to improve their playing and a number of exceptional students also receive recognition through scholarships and the chance to compete for the top award, the Shield.
