Sustainable resource development a must for Northern Ontario
TORONTO - NDP Mining critic Claude Gravelle (Nickel Belt) is once again calling on the Conservative government to create a sustainable, local and inclusive plan to develop the Ring of Fire region.
“Minister Clement has a lot of work to do to ensure sustainable resource development in the Ring of Fire region,” said Gravelle, who lead a delegation to the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention earlier this week.
“He must have meaningful collaboration with the province, communities and First Nations in Northern Ontario in order to develop a mining strategy that includes sustainable development as well as skills training for high-quality, local jobs,” insisted Gravelle.
“The NDP has called for a plan for the Ring of Fire that focuses on driving the local economy by providing skills training and job opportunities to local workers, building meaningful aboriginal partnerships, along with strong protections for the environment,” added MP Charlie Angus (Timmins–James Bay).
The NDP mining caucus, led by Gravelle, is working collaboratively with stakeholders on a long-term mining strategy which ensures that resource development projects benefit local communities directly.

There's regulation(s) out there that the courts don't even understand and that's a major problem for investment.
"Sensitivity Training"??? Transgender washrooms??? Health care coverage for sex changes??? Same sex marriage????KIds learn more about little Jonny's two daddys than they do math, reading, science and history. Employment equity??? Mandatory employment based on skin colour and/or ethnic background regardless of ability??? Ethnic clashes and violated quasi 200 year old agreements????? How does our GDP grow?
Does anybody wish me to continue???I thought not.
This is the ndp/liberal socialist/communist agenda.
