Suspect flees police. Car ends up in ditch

On March 7, 2013 officers were called to a theft of gasoline valued at $72.62 from the East Side Husky.
After receiving a description of the vehicle officers observed a vehicle matching the description west bound on Trunk Road.
Officers followed the vehicle to confirm the plate they were given.
The cruiser lights were activated to conduct a traffic stop.
The vehicle did not stop and after a short pursuit the driver of the vehicle lost control at the intersection of Black Road and Second Line East.
The vehicle ended up in the ditch on the north side of Black Road.
At Approximately 2:04 a.m. the driver of the vehicle was arrested for theft under $5,000, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
The accused will appear in bail court on March 8, 2013 at 10 a.m.

Later on this program we'll have a study panel, and a high priced one at that, to explain to the public as to how crimes like this can be prevented simply through publicly funded social awareness programmes that outline the widespread negative effects of the "Impulsive Compulsive" behaviour that causes some people to act in a manner contrary to the Law. We don't need prisons we need hugs...and lots of tax payers money. And also, society should throw in free driving lessons.

I'm sure they instigated this criminal act...and further to the illustration of these absurdities if a person was never charged he/she wouldn't be a criminal therefore it's the fault of the municipal constabulary for laying charges in the first place.
I have a feeling I am far to indepth for this "pretty competitive" bunch. This bunch has a problem with recognizing,interpreting and relating to my "partial-partisan" and direct sarcasm.

I am entitled to my political perspective as is anybody else to their own. Many are quick to condemn but fall short of an intelligent/civilized, possibly remedial, response. "DATANT" is unachievable when the parties involved are irrationally engaged...conflicting philosophies start wars and somebody does lose...like innocent non-partisans. The last thing a "Super Power" wants to do is pummel into submission and then subjugate any "Part or Party" willing to committ political and/or physical suicide by acting like an asshole at the conferance table...keep firing those those AK's and "there will be blood"...act civilized and sensible and we'll have peace...irrationally condemn my political ideology and support yours from an emotional, nuanced perspective and we'll..........continue to disagree.

It can cost tens of thousands per prisoner per year for federal inmates, and that number can soar to over $100,000. So your idea makes a lot of sense if you look at the numbers, oh wait, no it DOESN'T. How about we try and prevent them from doing the crime in the first place?
Now I realize these are federal prison numbers, but all these federal inmates had to start somewhere, right?
My point being is that the attitude to just throw them all in jail makes no fiscal sense what-so-ever, so why are people like you so obsessed with that?

If you get in a fender bender because of a momentary lapse in judgement you get to suffer the hummilation of having your name printed here. It seems only fair that this offender has his/her name printed just like the rest of Sault Ste. Marie. newcon 3/8/2013 10:56:29 AM ReportI new I forgot Einstien's distant relative..."opinionated" if, in the past, you had been paying attention to my remedial suggestion re. young offenders and petty thieves you would've, through intellectual deduction if nothing else, known that I am in favour of BOOT CAMP and Military enlistment (just short of conscription for habitual nuisance offenders). Here it goes again, please pay attention, quit school at 16 YoA you are going into Boot Camp no exceptions, and an education will be forced upon you, C/W Corporal Punishment. If One has decided after the 2yr enlistment that he/she wants out but has no "future" plans then they will be "conscripted" for 4more years in Military. If a petty criminal is of the ages of 18-22yrs and they are on the road to being a nuisance to society then they will be "conscripted" into Military service where they will learn a trade or at least understand the meaning and importance of DISCIPLINE. After that the punishment is "The Big House" on the "Rock" making small rocks out of big rocks.(for the landscaping market)
Now does anybody else need clarification on ANY of my political positions??? I'm tired of supporting those who think they're entitled to my support. And clean the cob webs from the gallows...if one knows where I'm going with that. It's all about the DISCIPLINE. And believe me in a true socialist state if one is not disciplined it's right to the "GULAG" or the "Retraining Center for Behavioural Modification. If the liberals or God forbid, the ndp ever get their way the gulags will always be full.

To be polite and cordial I would like to take this moment to express my heart felt appreciation and imeasurable gratitude to all of the contributors on this site who have taken the time out of their busy schedule, and maybe away from their hooka, to ridicule and blaspheme my somewhat contentious character. The "knife in the back" remarks are genuinely unique in their own way and so inspirational...Brutus is flush with envy. Very few people in this country understand politics and it's evident here...and it's not your fault...it's the left wing media and union dogma that has everybody lunging at throats, particularly a Conservative's throat(s). I shall endeavor to disseminate the truth, truth is like a foreign language to many here.
