Re: Report of the Ontario Distribution Sector Review Panel

Renewing Ontario’s electricity distribution sector: Putting the customer first

Our recent meeting February 27, 2013 between the Board of Directors of PUC Services Inc. and Ratepayers was both informative and productive, and as a result of constructive discussion between both parties, we are informing you the public today that the organizing volunteers of the Sault Ste. Marie Ratepayers Association are taking steps to coordinate communication between the various parties on the above issue.

To begin, we have put together an online survey to sample input from the community shareholders with the goal to seek information, consensus, views and concerns of the ratepayers of Sault Ste. Marie as PUC Inc shareholders along coordinated actions with, and not limited to:

  • Planning public ratepayer information meetings
  • Organizing letter campaigns
  • Contacting other ratepayers associations in other municipalities
  • Communicating and working with our elected representatives
  • Communicating and working with PUC Services Inc.
  • Communicating with fellow ratepayers

Our focus is on community inclusion and any future meetings that the sharing of information pertaining to this topic; we believe will be a benefit to all concerned.

It is vital that we as shareholders work together for the interests and good of the community.
