Vehicle in ditch - Driver charged with break and enter
HAVILLAND TWP - OPP received a complaint of a vehicle in a snow bank near Havilland Shores Drive at approximately 6:30 p.m. on March 3, 2013.
OPP attended the area and the vehicle was already out of the snow bank.
Upon speaking with the driver, several summer lawn tools were observed in the rear seat of the vehicle.
Further investigation by OPP revealed that the driver had in his possession several stolen items including a chainsaw, hedge trimmers, pruning shears, a home stereo system, a car stereo deck and a tool set.
The items had been stolen from two residences in the 1000 block of Havilland Shores Drive.
Twenty-one-year-old Donald Mark Bussineau of Queen St. West Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with two counts of break and enter, and two counts of possession of stolen property.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for Provincial Court on April 15, 2013.
