Sunday, March 03, 2013   by: SooToday.com Staff

Iconic children's author Dr. Suess' birthday was March 2, and we received the following note and photos from loyal SooToday.com reader Alyssa Chiccarelli, whose class celebrated the work of Dr. Suess last week.

*************************
For the past week Ms. Watson and Miss Chiccarelli’s Early Learning Kindergarten Program have been celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday!

The SK and Grade 1 class at St. Paul’s School planned several activities through the week, including having families,
staff and siblings from other classes come into our class to read their favourite Dr. Seuss books.

Some of our favourite Dr. Seuss books that were read this week were: “Green Eggs and Ham”, “Oh The Places You Will Go”, “The Lorax”, among many more.

Our class has enjoyed a total of 17 readers this week and plans to continue to open up our classroom to any readers in the next weeks to come.

Dr. Seuss’s birthday is March 2, so to conclude our Dr. Seuss week we celebrated his birthday reading with our principal Mr. Chilelli, teaming up with our friends in JK/SK, as well as the Grade 5 class.
