Richard allegedly had stuff he shouldn't have

On February 23, 2013 at 8:40 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team, Emergency Services Unit, Patrol Services and Canine Unit executed a search warrant at 819 Trunk Rd. Apt. 106, the residence of Richard Barton, 48 yrs. old.
Officers located a loaded, sawed-off 30 cal. Winchester rifle, ammunition and a prohibited knife.
Officers also located cocaine, Tylenol with codeine pills, a fentanyl patch, cutting agent, debt list, digital scales, cell phones and cash.
At the time of the offences, Richard Barton was prohibited by court order from possessing weapons.
Barton has been charged with six firearms charges, possession of a prohibited weapon and three breaches of a court prohibition order.
He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
He will be appearing in WASH Court later this morning.
