Diamonds are not Corey's best friend

On February 23, 2013 at approximately 11:19 am officers were called to the area of the City bus terminal and apprehended a male carrying 5 bottles of alcohol that had been taken from the LCBO at the Station Mall.
The accused was with a female and both were arrested for possession of stolen property and theft under $5000.
Alicia Merideth Marie Haldenby age 27 of 181 James Street, apartment #7 will appear in court on March 25, 2013 at 9:00am.
Corey Vincent Peplow was transported to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service because of other incidents.
It is alleged that on February 21, 2013 the accused was at Peoples Jewellers in the Station Mall and stole a white diamond ring with an estimated value of $3200.
The diamond ring was then pawned at a local pawn shop.
While being processed and searched at the station a struggle ensued when the accused did not want to give up a package of cigarettes he had concealed on his person.
The accused Peplow was also charged by the Ontario Provincial Police on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.
The accused stands charged with two counts of theft under $5000, 2 counts of possession of stolen property obtained by crime under $5000, 2 counts of breach of probation and 1 count of obstruct police.
The accused will appear in WASH court (weekend and statutory holiday video court) on February 24, 2013.
