Security cam leads to drugs and stolen property

Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [SUPERIOR EAST (Wawa)] OPP EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANT - Stolen Property and Drugs Seized 2013-02-23
(WAWA, ON) – On February 23, 2013 Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wawa Detachment were advised by a local business of several thefts caught on camera.
Stolen were three GPS units, two security cameras and two electric shavers.
Investigation led the OPP to execute a warrant at a residence on Winston Road in Wawa.
Some of the stolen property was recovered at the residence along with over $1400 worth of narcotics including Ecstasy and Percocet pills were seized.
As a result, 31-year-old Jody CLOUTIER of Wawa was arrested and stands charged with the following offences;
1) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – 5 counts
2) Possession for the Purpose Schedule I
3) Possession for the Purpose Schedule III
4) Fail to Comply with Recognizance – 2 counts
The accused remains in custody and will be attending Bail Court in Sault Ste. Marie. Wawa OPP continue to investigate the outstanding stolen items.
