23 year old Kenneth Armstrong of no fixed address was arrested on warrants and will be appearing in bail court this morning. It is alleged that he was previously arrested for theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property under $5000 but failed to go to court when he was scheduled to do so. In addition to the original charges he also now faces a charge of failing to attend court.

Cash, an X-Box, medication and jewellery were reported to have been stolen from a home that was broken into in the 100 block of Lorna Drive. The break in happened between 6:00 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. on February 20th.

iamtc 2/21/2013 8:54:28 AM ReportThis is a small police report what about all other crimes.... last night I seen a man running down the street at 3am with a 52 inch tv around gore st could not make out the brand did not think he was working for sears at that time I tried looking for police but only found hookers around that area. Poor downtown god help SSM clean these streets up shame on you SSM city hall. you should all be fired if you cared and loved your city why do you let it happen ???

There is a row of asterixes separating the two different incidents noted in this police report. The break in on Lorna Drive is a seperate incident from Mr. Armstrong's arrest for failure to appear.

mallet 2/21/2013 2:50:29 PM ReportAll I want to know is why he is in bail court. If he failed to attend the last time what makes the judge think he will turn up next time again. This is one of the largest problems with the Justice system, you are out catching the same people time and time again. Lock the SoB's up till they have to come to court to answer the charges, Lawyers don't turn up, fine them, Prosecutors arn't ready fine them too. Enough of this Bovine excretia!!!
riverman 2/21/2013 4:32:28 PM ReportHis appearance in bail court does not in itself mean he is being released on bail: it simply means he is appearing before the judge to plead his case for release and negotiate the terms of bail if granted. One would hope the Crown will successfully argue that his previous failure to appear should result in his being denied bail and remanded into custody.
