Join Strive Young Professionals Group to Kick off Local Leader Series featuring Susan Hunter

SAULT STE. MARIE - Strive: Young Professionals Group is excited to announce the launch of their Local Leader Series.

This series is intended to provide young people an opportunity to engage with top professionals in Sault Ste. Marie and learn how they achieved their success.

Susan Hunter will be featured as Strive's first local leader and it is no coincidence she will be speaking during International Women’s Week.

As the Director of External Relations, Susan presently works at implementing strategic rebranding and direction of Sault College.

Please join Strive at the Art Gallery of Algoma, located at 10 East Street, on Wednesday, March 6 from 6:30 until 9 p.m.

With humour and humility, Susan Hunter is sure to inspire you as you move beyond your comfort zones to embrace change and develop as a person - not only as a professional.

Admission for the event is $5 for Strive members and $10 for non-members, and will include light appetizers and refreshments, and access to the Men and Nature exhibit on display.

Strive encourages those wishing to attend to pre-register for the event.

Participants who sign up at this Strive event will receive 10 percent off a yearly membership to the Art Gallery of Algoma and a special Gallery Shop coupon.

AGA membership benefits include: invitation to special events; free Gallery admission; 10 percent off all Gallery Shop purchases; and subscription to the AGA monthly newsletter.

Paul Skeggs, chair of the Strive Executive gave more detail on the event: “The Local Leaders Series is a great way to learn from inspiring members of our community who have positively impacted Sault Ste. Marie. Rather than a lecture, the intent is for young professionals to have meaningful conversations with local leaders over coffee or tea and snacks.”

Strive aims to assist young professionals between the ages of 19 and 40 who are seeking professional development initiatives, networking opportunities, community interaction, and creating opportunities for recognition.
