I'm always amazed by the surprised look on drivers' faces when they hit a patch of ice at an intersection. Who knew?

I was driving a friend home, yesterday, and while stopped at Second Line and People's Road, we could see the REFLECTION of the cross-traffic in the ice on the road.

Icy roads and snowy conditions are the least of Sault Ste. Marie's driving issues. I think it’s appalling how many of our local drivers continue to ignore the laws of the road by texting, talking on their cellphones, and failing to disregard basic traffic signals and speed limits. Stop means Stop, not Yield or ignore totally.

I'm just glad that if anyone hits me, its their vehicles that will get the damage. You might scratch the rust on my solid steel bumper.

Wow.. this news was shocking! Icy road conditions + no sand or plowing + snowbanks that are too d*mn HIGH to see over + idiot drivers not paying attention = Accidents! But that's Good 'Ol SSM in the winter for ya!
