They don't name names when domestic distrubances involving a current or EX couple. They do this to protect the victim.

This isn't new...

Is it just me or is it not innocent until proven guilty since allegedly the crime happened in the fall

How does withholding The perps name protect the victim? If anything, it shows the public That, whatever his name is, is abusive towards women and also untrustworthy. This way it prevents him from doing it to women in the future and maybe it's embarrassing enough for the woman that she'll smarten up and kick this half wit to the curb..... What do I know, though?
Stugatzu 2/19/2013 2:27:50 PM Report

How does it protect the victim you ask? Let's work with this hypothetical situation: A couple get into a domestic dispute and violence/threats are exchanged. It isn't unlikely to say "If I know your spouse... chances are.. I know their partner by extension."

In short, domestic disturbances aren't the business of the general public, because the victim may then be threatened by the accused's family/friends. If you NEED to know the name of the accused, go sit at the court house the day of their hearing.

Really... sounds like a bunch of busy-bodies that need to know everyone else's business... just so they can stir shit up.

Lol! Well then in that case, the perp's family, and friends should also be exposed! :)

Stu.. Do you sit on here and Troll all comments or are you just a friend of the loser committing this crap? Could care less about your write up and yes if she is stupid enough to be with the moron she should be in the write up as well.. Takes several charges for her to figure something isn't right out? If you are going to answer my posts, make sure it is something I care to read.. Thanks
Stugatzu 2/19/2013 7:34:42 PM Report

Bite me! Just because you don't agree with how the system works, doesn't warrant you calling me a troll or implying I'm somehow related to the person involved.

Our police services don't publish the names of people involved in domestic disturbances -- DEAL WITH IT AND PISS OFF
