SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Febrary 14 – Last month, more than 30 creative entrepreneurs shared, connected and dared to dream into the future at the first meeting of the Sault Community Entrepreneur Network Exchange (SCENE).

The newly-formed group, established by the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corp. (SSMEDC), is meeting again on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the main branch of the public library.

The event, which is being held in conjunction with Gangplank Sault, is open to anyone.
  • WHAT? - Meeting of the SCENE/Gangplank Sault
  • WHEN? - Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m.
  • WHERE? - Public Library, Main Branch, 50 East St.
“We encourage all current and aspiring entrepreneurs to attend this event,” said Zoltan Virag, a business advisor with Business Sault Ste. Marie, a division of the SSMEDC. “The SCENE is the premier networking group for entrepreneurs of all ages. The goal is to provide a forum for local entrepreneurs to collectively learn, develop and nurture socio-economic wealth generating ideas.”

At Tuesday’s meeting, discussions will centre around the following question: What can we do together to build an economy of community and collaboration?

This is the 2nd time in a row that this event is taking place on the same night as City Council meets. I'm sure there are members of Council that might want to and, in my opinion, should make an effort to attend this event.
The question is asked: What can we do together to build an economy of community and collaboration? This is something that I think as a councillor,
and of course, as a concerned Saultite, I would like to share in the discussion and maybe offer my input.

Hi Frank,

Thanks for your interest. That is unfortunate, when we scheduled it, we weren't aware that there was a Council meeting on a Tues. There will be many more opportunities coming!
