The first animated film to ever be nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award came to glorious life last night at the Essar Centre.
The sold out performance of Disney's Beauty and the Beast featured exquisite and innovative set designs, music from the 1991 animated smash hit, and commanding (and often hilarious) performances from Hilary Maiberger (Belle), Joe Hagar (Gaston), Hassan Nazari-Robati (Lumiere), and Darick Pead (the Beast).
Beauty and the Beast first staged on Broadway in 1994 and enjoyed 5,461 performances until it closed in 2007.

We of course were not allowed to take pictures.
Although the pictures provided are nice
I wish the Sootoday had included some of Beauty and the Beast's Dance and the grand finale.
The costuming,lighting ,Music all amazing!
Totally enjoyed it.
