If this is such a bad country you should move there. It is good to have good neighbours, and I enjoy the occasional visit to the U.S., but I also remember someone has to pay for the good perks we receive in Canada. Tax dollars.!!! If one is poor going over there to save is one thing, but for those that have made it good working here n Canada, shame on you..
They want the best of two worlds.

@flp it is not easy to move to another country, I have tried. You make it sound like you can just pick up and move to whatever country you want to, and that is not the case. If you are born in Canada, and you are not rich or have a ticket in any trade you are stuck here.

we are very lucky to be a border town. we have just a 3 hour drive to have a weekend getaway, or great shopping .
we also have top entertainment at kewedin casino . without kewadin , we would have to drive to toronto or detroit to see that caliber of talent.
With the new Essar centre, we are STARTING to get excellent entertainment thou. also the price of gasoline is $1.50 a gallon cheaper in Soo Michigan.the funny thing about it is , it is our oil refined in Alabama , and sent through-out the eastern u.s.
yes we are VERY LUCKY to live in a border town.

Increased "one-way traffic crossings.." meaning 149 thousand people left Canada.?

Cuz.. that would be worth a second click.

I wonder how many came back.?
