Seen at Cambrian Mall today (photo)

Monday, February 11, 2013   by: Staff

A loyal reader sent us the photo shown this afternoon.

"This couple are at the Cambrian Mall lights right now waving their message[s]," the reader noted.

Their cards say: 'Kindness is free," "Honk if you love someone," "you're Awesome" and "don't give up ok."

"Made me smile," our reader added.

Nice to see someone getting their message across without trying to hassle and inconvenience me in the process. And look, they are even out doing their work in the ugly weather!

You never know- these guys could very well have saved a life today!! There are so many struggling with depression- and this weather does not help, that when they drove by and seen that, it was a clear cut message to them!!

I hope those guys know what a great thing they did today. People had a nice little smile on their face while driving by them. Including me!

I work at the Cambrian Mall. When I left the office today and saw this couple and there message, it relieved me of my work day...they were the highlight of my day. Thanks for that, whom ever you are. :-)

I like to share a bottle of coke and pass the smile along.

Have a great day for those who read this one and for the people who shared the kindness/love message.

PS: If bottle of coke isn't your thing then it's up to you to decide.

Pass it on.

I had to take a trip to Lifelabs today.
The first offer of help was while parking my car. My car is fairly long and the lady opposite to my space asked if she could help by moving her car forward, or by backing up.
When I get out my car, I always check to see, if I am encroaching on anothers space. The lady that offerd to help by moving her car, didn't see I was a little hamperd by my recent total hip, replacement. I am still a little nervous
and have a difficulty with agility.
I wish to ask all drivers that are currently using the Wheel Chair parking to stop. Just because the allocated spot is vacant, does not give you the the right to park there.
When I moved my mom to the Sault, to live with me, I had to pick up her new
Rx's. I drove to the Zellers Store at the Station Mall. I drove in to the lot backed into the parking first on the right, ran into the star picked up the meds and was back to the i bet inside 0f 10 mins 15 tops. When I saw the tag on my wind sheild, I thought it was an advert. NOPE $100.00 fine.
I backed into the spot, I never saw the sign, it was posted on a fence I believe. Because I backed in, looking from side to side, I just didn't see the posted sign. I paid the fine; I was in the wrong

Just to let you know, yes you, you know who you are, the one who thinks the rules are meant for overyone else.
I think the fine is $300.00 for parking in the wheel chair designated parking spots, they were changed a while ago.

To the remainder of people who really help people, sometimes it is just a smile.

In the words of Jessie Jackson; "Never look down on anybody; unless you are helping them up"

Thank you to the lady wanting to move her car, thanks to the gentleman who held the door for me at Lifelabs, thanks to the lady that held the door on the inside of lifelabs, thanks to the lady who offer to help me up or hold my purse when my name was called...Angels all of you.
OH I forgot "no thanks" to the lady who nearly broke my other leg, trying to get in the door the gentleman was holding for me. What was it you said and I quote, "I am in a hurry"

My girlfriend and I were at Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center yesterday having our car's exhaust repaired by the very good people there (Thanks Steve Miller & guys!) and we could hear the shouts coming from over by the lights at the intersection into Cambrian Mall. We didn't know what all the commotion was about until we read the news article this morning on SooToday. I want to say THANKS! to those 2 people that took time out of their day (in the rain) to try and spread some unselfish kindness. I believe it was a wonderful thing the two of you did yesterday. This city could certainly learn a lesson in caring for your fellow human being from you. I hope you both have a wonderful and fantastic life! - Thanks again!
