The ruins of the now gutted Northern Breweries building continue to smoulder this morning and there are few details available about the fire.
City police and fire crews are still on the scene at this time and fire crews have been battling the fire throughout the night.
Bay Street, from Spring to Brock, Spring Street, from Queen Street to Russ Ramsey Way and Russ Ramsey Way from Spring to Brock Street were still closed at that time.

4:47 a.m.
Both the City Police and Fire departments remain on scene at the old Northern Breweries site where a major fire broke out late yesterday afternoon.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and further details will be available at a later time.
Traffic in and around the area of the fire should be open later on this morning.
