SNOWFALL WARNING FOR: IGNACE - ENGLISH RIVER - SEINE RIVER VILLAGE - MINE CENTRE - ATIKOKAN - UPSALA - QUETICO.

15 TO 20 CM SNOWFALL BY MIDDAY TUESDAY.

SNOW FROM A DISTURBANCE LOCATED OVER THE UPPER US MIDWEST HAS SPREAD IN FROM MINNESOTA AND IS INTENSIFYING.
 
AS A RESULT SNOW, HEAVY AT TIMES, WILL CONTINUE ALL NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING.
 
MOST REGIONS WILL RECEIVE CLOSE TO 15 CM BY MORNING WITH ANOTHER FEW CM OF SNOW EXPECTED TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE THE SNOW MOVES OFF TO THE NORTHEAST.

HAZARDOUS WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS FROM VERY LOW VISIBILITY IN AREAS OF HEAVY SNOW AND ACCUMULATING SNOW ON UNTREATED ROADS ARE EXPECTED.
 
MOTORISTS SHOULD ADJUST TRAVEL PLANS ACCORDINGLY.

FREEZING RAIN WARNING FOR: MANITOUWADGE - HORNEPAYNE - WAWA - WHITE RIVER - PUKASKWA - SAULT STE. MARIE - SUPERIOR EAST - KAPUSKASING - HEARST - SMOOTH ROCK FALLS - TIMMINS - COCHRANE - GREATER SUDBURY AND VICINITY - CHAPLEAU - GOGAMA - KIRKLAND LAKE - NEW LISKEARD - TEMAGAMI - ELLIOT LAKE - RANGER LAKE - MANITOULIN - BLIND RIVER - KILLARNEY - NORTH BAY - WEST NIPISSING.
 
FREEZING RAIN TUESDAY.

A DEVELOPING COLORADO LOW WILL BE TRACKING NORTHEAST TOWARDS LAKE SUPERIOR TONIGHT. A BAND OF FREEZING RAIN AHEAD OF ITS ASSOCIATED WARM FRONT IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT NORTHEASTERN ONTARIO TUESDAY.
 
THE FREEZING RAIN IS FORECAST TO BEGIN OVER REGIONS ADJACENT TO LAKE SUPERIOR TUESDAY MORNING THEN SPREAD NORTH AND EAST REACHING AREAS NEAR THE QUEBEC BORDER IN THE AFTERNOON.
 
FREEZING RAIN, MAY BECOME MIXED WITH ICE PELLETS AT TIMES, AND IS EXPECTED TO LAST FOR SEVERAL HOURS OVER MOST LOCATIONS.
 
A TRANSITION TO PERIODS OF RAIN IS FORECAST TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AS TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK.
 
MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE CAUTION AS UNTREATED ROADS MAY BECOME ICY.
