Mira Lyn charged with drinking and driving

Routine traffic stop leads to [charge]

BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, ON (January 28, 2013) - On January 26, 2013, at approximately 7:50 p.m., an OPP officer stopped a van on Frontenac Street.

An odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver’s breath and further investigation revealed that the driver had been consuming alcohol.

Twenty-two-year-old Mira Lyn Sabota of Campbell Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol.

The accused was released on a promise to appear for provincial court on February 18, 2013 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

When someone gets stopped for over the limit....is the vehicle impounded? and how does the driver get home? what if they live out of town? I think I'll play it safe so I won't have to find out:)

The police call it a routine stop. I call it a game of cat and mouse. They did get something by pulling every vehicle over that left that driveway,but it wasn't the mouse they were looking for. Very sad that this girl let herself get caught up in this game. I hope she's learned a very valuable lesson here
