SooToday.com received the following message and accompanying photos today from Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board Communications Officer, Jim Fitzpatrick, about a special visit by members of the Soo Thunderbirds hockey team.

This afternoon, St. John Catholic School was visited by representatives of the Soo Thunderbirds hockey team.
Players Anthony Miller, Matt Zelewski, and Russian-import Yan Kalashnikov even enjoyed a pick-up game of floor hockey with Mrs. Barker's Grade 5/6 class.
Students Polly and Michael Siltanen made Yan Kalashnikov right at home by speaking with him in Russian.
