SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
ENVIRONMENT CANADA
*************************
Special weather statement for: Marathon - Schreiber - Wawa - White River - Pukaskwa - Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay - Agawa - Lake Superior Park.
Heavy lake effect flurries tonight into Wednesday.
Occasional heavy lake effect flurries have been affecting regions to the east of Lake Superior today.
They are expected to continue off and on tonight producing a few more centimetres in some locales.
A sharp cold front will cross the area on Wednesday.
This will enhance the intensity of the flurries for a few hours.
Several more centimetres are likely along and ahead of the front.
Due to the meandering nature of the heaviest flurries, accumulations are not expected to be significant, although a snow total of locally up to 15 centimetres may fall by Wednesday afternoon (including today's and tonight's snowfall).
The main issue will be very low visibilities under the heaviest flurries, with brief near zero visibility enhanced by gusty winds
and some blowing snow.
Conditions are expected to improve later Wednesday afternoon in the wake of the cold front.
Travellers are urged to exercise caution.
Please monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada.

F150Guy 1/15/2013 8:59:10 PM ReportSeems like the Sault and area is some kind of dead zone for snow? Storms and snowfalls always seem to make a large circle around us. Maybe the heat from the steel plant I dunno lol.
Beej 1/15/2013 9:32:42 PM ReportWhatever it is it means less shoveling!
Be happy :)
F150Guy 1/15/2013 9:45:43 PM ReportYeah, but I'd like to enjoy Searchmont with a fresh snow fall. And maybe actually using my snowblower I spent money on to fix it.
MrJWall 1/16/2013 1:26:55 AM ReportSay NO- to Snow!!! (And drugs for that matter!) No pun intended with 'snow' either lol
