Maybe we should have a sign, that flashes, nice and bright, like majority of cities have, that are specifically made for missing people/amber alerts... and put in the busiest area of the city....oh wait no those are distracting right?

There are a lot of good, loving foster parents. Hope he's okay.

Amber alert...whats that? Lol. when my son Justin went missing 11 years ago..the OPP just listed him as a runaway teen...Maybe if they would have put out a alert right away maybe we would have found him...I really hope and pray they find this boy safe and sound...

So very true, anyone that I know that has reported their teen missing, the police say the same thing-run away teen, must have been fighting with his parent's.This child must be in foster care to get the special treatment. notice how they removed the other lady's comment about being in foster care. But,what else is new, special treatment is within our system.

Not too many years ago, I was a Foster Parent, and when my teens wouldn't come home, I had to report it immediately after they missed curfew.
Every time after the Police were contacted, they would say, OK the report is on file, notify us when they return. So, even if they were gone a couple of days, that was all that was done. Same with the CAS.
Thankfully, they returned after doing whatever they were doing, safe and sound.
In all the years there was only one Officer that showed any signs of concern and took the extra time to follow up with me. It's kinda sad......

Speculations on why he went missing and his living arrangements are not at all helpful. He is a young boy making some VERY poor decisions. He does have people who care about him and he NEEDS medical attention.
Number One Son 12/18/2012 10:28:29 AM Report

The cops are useless in these cases. Our daughter went missing several years ago from school. After looking in all the obvious places, we went to the OPP because we thought maybe she was hitching to Wawa, .... 15 at the time. The OPP wouldn't do a damn thing unless we reported it to the city police so they could relay the info to the OPP, .... we were sitting in the OPP office when they told us this!

We went to the city police, but before they could take a missing persons report, they said they had to come and inspect our home to see she wasn't actually there, ....WTF! At our home, they wanted to know things like "what kind of underwear she was wearing", .... like anyone asks their 15 year old daughter this every morning before school, ..... another WTF! They then took a missing person's report and said they would forward it to the OPP.

We took it upon ourselves to drive slowly up to Wawa at 1:00 AM slowly checking the side of the roadway as we drove for a "body". When we got to Wawa at about 6:00 AM, we went to the local police there, who hadn't even received the missing person report from the city police, .... another WTF!

After a tiring drive back to the Sault, we found our daughter safe, no thanks to the city police, .... they can go f%#@K themselves, ....
